The Sleeping Beauty

I read “The Sleeping Beauty by Brothers Grimm”.

It times to past, there lived a king and queen who wanted children but they hadn’t any children. One day, the frog appeared in front of the queen and said they could get a baby within a year and it actually happened. The king and queen held a great feat to celebrate the birth but they couldn’t invited all people they wanted to invite because they didn’t have enough plates for them. However, uninvited person became angry and said when the baby became fifteen years old, she would die. Fifteen years have passed, the princess didn’t die but sleep for a long time. Other people who lived in the castle were also sleeping. Many a long year afterwards a king’ son came to the castle and kiss the princess and she and other people in the castle woke up. Finally, they became happy.

 

I think the uninvited person feel she was betrayed by the king and queen. But it is really crucial to make a plan to kill the princess. I heard this story has a lot of versions so I want to read all kind of this stories.

 “Slow down,” shouted Biff. “No. This is fun,” said Gran.   Gran bought a fast car but everyone around her was worried about her. After that, Gran and children went to a small world. Gran joined a car race but it was very dangerous because a bad guy disturbed her race. Finally, Gran won this race but she learned a fast car was really dangerous so she took the fast car back. For instead, she bought a little car.   I was surprised that Gran was very powerful and dangerous. It’s Not Fair

 “Girls are as good as boys.”   Biff went to King Arthur’s castle which was a world in the book Biff’s teacher read her. In the castle, Biff wanted to be a knight but she couldn’t be it because she was a girl. She did her best to be a knight. For example, she showed her skateboard skill for other knights and made a round table for knights. But they didn’t allow her to be a knight because of her sex. She was but angry and keep angry, she went back to the real world.   Now, the gap between boys and girls is a big problem not only Japan but also the world. So, Biff’s thought “Girls are as good as boys.” is really important current world and I can understand her thought. I want all people to think about this gap and have the question about this gap.

Snow-white

I read “Snow-white” which written by The Brothers Grimm. There are mainly two women and seven little men in this story. The queen thought she was the most beautiful in the world and she couldn’t admit that anyone else was more beautiful than her. But the most beautiful is Snow-white. So, the queen tried to kill Snow-white many times however, seven little men protected her. Finally, Snow-white ate the poisoned apple and she died once. But actually, she became alive because of the prince. Therefore, Snow-white started to a new happy life with the prince and the queen really died. When I read this story, I always feel the queen’s jealousy of Snow-white and the seven little men’s kindness. But I sometime think that the queen is actually a lonely person.
